A Farm Stay in North East Victoria
Slow Mornings, Seasonal Moments
Dunmore is a farm stay in the truest sense. The Cottage sits on 150 acres of working farmland in Molyullah, surrounded by cattle, gardens, animals and the changing seasons of North East Victoria.
There is no particular way to spend your time here. Mornings might begin with collecting eggs from the hens and coffee on the verandah, followed by a walk through the paddocks or breakfast made with produce from the farm. In winter, the fire tends to become the centre of the cottage. In warmer months, doors stay open and meals move outside.
The wood-fired hot tub takes a few hours to heat. The garden changes with the season. Farm life carries on around you.
You can be part of it, or simply enjoy having nowhere else you need to be.
The Cottage
The Cottage has been restored with its history intact, while giving guests the comfort and practicality of a considered country stay.
It sleeps up to six across two queen bedrooms and a third bedroom with two king single beds. Inside there is a wood fire, Victorian clawfoot bath and walk-in shower, a fully equipped kitchen, French linen, wool throws and a library gathered over time.
Outside, there is space to eat and sit on the verandah, an outdoor fire pit and a wood-fired hot tub overlooking the farm.
On arrival you'll find a few provisions from the farm and region, along with specialty coffee and tea. The kitchen is made for cooking, although there is no expectation that you do much of anything.
Time on the Farm
Couples, families and friends tend to experience Dunmore differently. Children might head straight for the chickens and animals. Others walk the paddocks, read by the fire, cook together, take the bikes out or spend an afternoon doing very little.
The farm is there to explore, but it isn't an itinerary. The best days here often take shape as they go.
