our journey

We bought Dunmore in late 2017, being attracted to its size (150 acres), picturesque surroundings, historic original dwellings, fertile river flats and close proximity to regional towns, as well as Melbourne and surrounding regions, including the King Valley, Milawa, Alpine and Beechworth.

Within a couple of months of splitting our weeks between Melbourne and Molyullah, our longer term plans became our immediate plans, and the transition from city life to country life became our reality.

In our first twelve months we focussed on the farming whilst also restoring the Cottage, one of the oldest houses in the district; and rumour has it a place that the young Ned Kelly visited.

Prior to 2016, the property was a fully operating dairy, with previous owners milking a herd of Jersey cows, and whilst the dairy still remains today, the farm is now running Angus Cattle with which we plan to breed.

We have grand plans and our project has only just begun. We look forward to welcoming you and having you stay.
