our journey

We purchased our beautiful property in late 2017, attracted to its size (150 acres), picturesque surroundings, historic buildings, fertile river flats, and its proximity to Melbourne and surrounding regional towns.

With a weekender in mind, we split our time between Melbourne and Molyullah, however not long into our restoration journey, our long-term plans soon became our immediate plans, and the transition from city life to country life became a reality.

During our first year at Dunmore Farm, our focus was on re-establishing the farm and restoring The Cottage, one of the oldest houses in the district, built in 1860 using red gum milled from the property. It's rumored that the young Ned Kelly once visited the place.

Previously, the property was a fully operational dairy, with the previous owners milking a herd of Jersey cows. Today, while the dairy remains, the farm is now running Angus cattle, including breeders.

At Dunmore Farm, we believe in taking time to slow down and appreciate life's simple pleasures. So come and discover the beauty of the North East Victoria region and experience the warmth and hospitality of our farm.

We look forward to welcoming you soon.
