The Cottage at Dunmore

 

Built c1860 with red gum sourced from the property, The Cottage at Dunmore is one of the oldest houses in the district, steeped in rich history and local folklore. Legend has it that a young Ned Kelly was a regular visitor to this charming abode.

In 2018, a considered year-long restoration was undertaken to seamlessly blend old-world charm with modern amenities. With a capacity to sleep up to six guests, The Cottage is an ideal retreat for families, groups of friends, or couples in search of a romantic getaway.

Luxuriate in a long, hot bath and enjoy a dreamy night's sleep in one of The Cottage's three peaceful bedrooms, with French bed linen and cosy woollen throws for added comfort. During your stay, the fully equipped country-style kitchen invites you to channel your inner chef and create delicious meals. You can source fresh, seasonal produce from the many growers in our region to enhance your culinary experience and truly delight your taste buds.

  • The Cottage sleeps up to six guests.

    • 3rd bedroom - king single bunks.

    * Infants 2yrs and under are free, children 2+ classified as guests.

    It's helpful to know that Molyullah doesn't have any shops or restaurants and that it's best to plan ahead and get essentials before arriving.

    Our nearest town Benalla is a short 15 minutes drive away where you will find three supermarkets (Aldi, Coles, and Woolworths), Fruits n Fare grocer, Beatons Butchers for your pantry essentials.

  • ​Our nightly rates include;

    • Aesop body products

    • French flax bed linen, woollen throws and additional blankets, Sheridan bath towels.

    • A fully equipped kitchen including electric oven, convection cook top, dishwasher, citrus juicer, bullet blender, capsule coffee Machine, French press and Moka Stove Top and milk frother (note there is no microwave and original wood stove is decommissioned and not to be used).

    • General kitchen supplies; a selection of Love Tea, Emme Mac Black specialty coffee (compostable capsules and ground coffee) , oil, salt, pepper, compost, garbage bags, cling wrap, foil, dishwashing & dishwasher detergent, tea towels, cooking apron, linen and paper napkins.

    • Ironing board & iron, clothes drying rack. (note there is no washing machine or dryer at the Cottage however there are two laundromats in Benalla, 15 mins away).

    • A porta cot and highchair are available by request.

    • Split system Air-conditioning, individual bedroom wall heaters, underfloor heating in bathroom & toilet, wood fire heater & firewood.

    • Weber gas BBQ.

    • Smart TV

    • Sonos speaker (Bose/Bluetooth).

    • A selection of books & games including outdoors.

    • Starlink Wi-Fi.
